The Sons of Liberty bowl was made by Paul Revere Jr. on 1768. The bowl is a declaration of political defiance. It honors members of the Massachusetts legislature who refused to rescind a letter protesting the Townshend acts. Revere belonged to a secret group called the sons of liberty which had 15 members. The bowl is a demonstration by the leaders of America that they were not going to be taxed unfairly by the British and that they were not going to abide by unfair laws. This bowl is extremely significant to me because i found it rather interesting that all these men of the sons of liberty came together and went against the government of the time something that to this day is rather incredible. IT reflects upon the American Identity becaue yet again it shows the people of America's drive to fight for a country where eveyone was created and had equal rights.
